ALL COMMISSIOn
The
sport satrt fro tmhe ,aCreted by the IOC in 1983 in respone tso the growing
public interest in sports practice and the development in the trend in
health/fitness and physical activity, the most
important aim of the Sport for All Commission is to encourage and support the
efforts and developments disseminating the health and social benefits to
be gained bar physical activity.
This goal can be achieved through a cooperation via International y all members of society through regulSpommittees (NOCs), and national sportsorts Federations (IFs), National Olympic C organisations.
The
Sports Department works with the Sport for All Commission and organises the
Commission meeting once a year. This Commission is the expert consultative body
on this subject. Its role is to establish guidelines for SfA strategy. By

Sport for All is a movement promoting
the Olympic ideal that sport is a human right for all individuals regardless of
race, social claourages sports activities that can
be exercised by people of all ages, both sexess and sex. The movement encs and different social and

The
Commission, applying the Fundamental Principles and Rules of the Olypic
Charter, will encourage and suppomrt the efforts and development of other
organisations already involved in Sport for All, thereby further disseminating
the health and social benefits tety through regular physical acto be gained by all members of sociivity. Sport for All helps to put the Olympic Movement’s
values into practice in terms of promoting health, education and well-being
through sports activities practised by all categories of the population without
distinction. Sport is also a means to achieveev delopment objectives in terms
of both establishing picy and organising local sports eventsol.
